Description
Set in 18th-century Malta, this lively Pulcinellata follows the misadventures of Pulcinella, the hopelessly flawed servant to the romantic young Philomena. Having inherited a modest fortune that is already slipping away, Philomena dreams of love and perfection — and prepares to meet a series of hopeful suitors in search of her ideal match.
While she pursues romance, Pulcinella pursues something far more urgent: rest and food. Sweeping problems under carpets.
Rooted in the tradition of Commedia Dell’ Arte, and inspired by the work of Antonio Fava, this Pulcinellata is fast-paced, physical, and mischievous. It celebrates imperfection — reminding us that sometimes life’s deepest lessons arrive over something as simple as a slice of pizza.
