Description
Paris Opera Voices is a meeting of cultures, traditions, and stories, where the human voice takes center stage. The evening brings together the rich bass-baritone of Alejandro Baliñas Vieites, the radiant soprano of Teona Todua, and the refined artistry of Christine Zerafa on piano.
The program features arias and ensembles by Mozart, Verdi, Rossini, Puccini, Bizet, Donizetti, and other masters of the operatic tradition.
Alejandro Baliñas Vieites – Bass-Baritone
Born in Santiago de Compostela, Alejandro represents the new generation of opera singers who combine technical mastery with a magnetic stage presence. A graduate of the Conservatory of the Liceu in Barcelona and a scholarship holder of the Ferrer-Salat Foundation, he trained under renowned teachers including Carlos Chausson and Manuel Burgueras.
His repertoire includes Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Alidoro (La Cenerentola), Seneca (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Zuniga (Carmen), and Marchese (La forza del destino). He has appeared at the Paris National Opera in productions of Salome, Carmen, and Hamlet. In 2023, he was awarded both the AROP Prize and the Cercle Carpeaux Prize of the Opéra National de Paris. In the 2023/24 season, he became a member of the first permanent troupe of the Paris Opera – a distinction reserved for the most promising talents.

Teona Todua – Soprano
Born in Donetsk to a Georgian family, Teona began her musical journey as a pianist before turning to opera. She studied at the P. Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kyiv, earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal performance, and furthered her training at the Opera Academy of the Polish National Opera and the Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris.
Teona is the 1st Prize winner of the Wassyl Slipak Competition in Lviv, 3rd Prize winner at Grandi Voci in Istanbul, and a laureate of the prestigious Neue Stimmen Competition (2024). In March 2023, she was invited to the Metropolitan Opera in New York for an artistic exchange with the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. Today, she performs across Europe, admired for her radiant tone, emotional depth, and technical brilliance.

Christine Zerafa – Piano
An internationally acclaimed collaborative pianist, Christine has appeared at major venues and festivals including Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, Oxford Lieder Festival, and Cheltenham Festival. An Associate of the Royal Academy of Music and prize-winner of numerous international awards, she brings sensitivity, elegance, and depth to every performance.
