ZEJTUNE Open-Air Screening and Concert
Event-Specific Terms and Conditions
These Event-Specific Terms and Conditions apply to the open-air screening of ZEJTUNE and the live concert taking place at the Amphitheatre, Malta National Park, Ta’ Qali, on 28 and 29 August 2026 (“the Event”). These terms apply together with the terms and conditions of ShowsHappening. By purchasing, holding or using a ticket, the ticket holder confirms that they have read and accepted both sets of terms.
1. Organiser
The Event is organised and promoted by Pellikola Limited and Solari Productions Limited, collectively referred to as “the Organiser”. ShowsHappening acts as the ticket-booking and payment platform. The organisation and staging of the Event remain the responsibility of the Organiser.
2. Event programme and seating
The evening consists of an open-air screening of ZEJTUNE, followed by a live concert by Michael Azzopardi and Band featuring Yasmin Kuymizakis (Joon), Cher Camilleri and Nenu Borg. Doors are scheduled to open at 19:00, the screening is scheduled to begin at 20:00, and the live concert is scheduled to begin at approximately 22:15. The Event operates on a general seating basis. Seats are unnumbered and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ticket holders are strongly encouraged to arrive early to allow sufficient time for entry, ticket checks and seating before the screening begins. Seats may not be reserved for persons who have not yet entered the venue where doing so prevents other ticket holders from being seated. All advertised times are approximate and may change due to operational, technical, weather-related or safety considerations. The appearance of any particular performer, actor, filmmaker or other participant is not guaranteed. A change to the programme, running order or scheduled times, or the non-appearance of any individual participant, will not automatically entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
3. Tickets
Each ticket is valid only for the date stated on it and admits one person unless otherwise indicated. Tickets may not be copied, altered or reproduced and must be presented electronically or in printed form upon entry. A ticket purchased for 28 August is not automatically valid for 29 August, and vice versa. Requests to change the ticket date may be considered subject to availability and any applicable administrative conditions, but the Organiser is not obliged to approve any such request. The Organiser may refuse admission where a ticket is invalid, duplicated, altered, previously scanned or obtained from an unauthorised source. Ticket holders are responsible for checking the event date, ticket category and all other booking details before completing their purchase.
4. Refunds, cancellation and postponement
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable except where the Event is cancelled by the Organiser, the Event is rescheduled and the ticket holder is unable to attend on the replacement date, the Organiser expressly agrees otherwise, or a refund is required under applicable law. Failure or inability to attend due to illness, travel disruption, personal circumstances, late arrival or a change of mind does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund. Where the Event is cancelled in its entirety, ticket holders will be entitled to a refund of the ticket’s face value, subject to applicable law and the ShowsHappening terms and conditions. Unless otherwise required by law, booking fees, transaction fees and other platform charges may not be refundable. Where the Event is postponed or moved to another date, tickets will normally remain valid for the replacement date. Ticket holders who cannot attend the replacement date will be informed of the applicable refund procedure and any deadline for submitting a request. Where only part of the Event cannot proceed, including either the screening or the concert, the Organiser will determine the appropriate remedy after taking into account the part of the Event that has already taken place, the reason for the interruption or cancellation, whether the cancelled element can reasonably be rescheduled, and the ticket holder’s applicable statutory rights. Any refund authorised by the Organiser will be processed through ShowsHappening. The Organiser will not be responsible for travel, accommodation, parking, childcare or other personal expenses incurred in connection with attendance at the Event.
5. Outdoor event and weather
The Event is being held outdoors. Ticket holders are responsible for checking the weather forecast and dressing appropriately for the expected conditions. The Event may proceed in light rain, wind or other weather conditions that the Organiser considers manageable and safe. Umbrellas may not be opened during the screening or concert where they obstruct another attendee’s view or create a safety concern. Ticket holders are encouraged to bring suitable waterproof clothing where rain is forecast. The Organiser may delay, interrupt, modify, postpone or cancel all or part of the Event where weather conditions, official warnings, technical circumstances or safety concerns make this necessary. A decision concerning weather conditions may be made shortly before or during the Event, and ticket holders should check official Event communications before travelling to the venue. The fact that an attendee personally considers the weather uncomfortable will not entitle that attendee to a refund where the Event proceeds as scheduled.
6. Admission, children and accessibility
Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early and allow sufficient time for ticket checks, security procedures and seating. Admission or re-admission may be temporarily delayed during the screening or concert to avoid disrupting the Event. Late arrival does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund or guarantee immediate admission to the seating area.
ZEJTUNE carries a film classification of 12+. Admission of children and young persons is subject to the applicable classification requirements and any conditions stated on the Event page or ticket. Children and young persons remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times. A valid ticket is required for every attendee unless the Organiser expressly states otherwise. Ticket holders with accessibility or mobility requirements are encouraged to contact the Organiser sufficiently in advance so that reasonable arrangements may be considered. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate such needs, subject to the physical characteristics, available facilities and operational limitations of the venue. Assistance dogs will be admitted where required by applicable law and subject to appropriate venue arrangements.
7. Conduct, safety and right to refuse admission
Ticket holders must follow all reasonable instructions issued by the Organiser, venue management, security personnel or emergency services and must not obstruct aisles, stairways, entrances, exits or emergency routes. The Organiser and venue management reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any person who behaves in a threatening, abusive, disruptive or unsafe manner; appears to be excessively intoxicated; interferes with the enjoyment or safety of other attendees; refuses to follow reasonable instructions; damages or attempts to damage the venue, equipment or other property; enters or attempts to enter a restricted area; records or photographs the film in breach of these terms; or otherwise breaches these Event-Specific Terms and Conditions. A person refused admission or removed for any of these reasons will not be entitled to a refund. Anyone requiring medical assistance should immediately contact a member of the Event team.
8. Prohibited items and security checks
Weapons, dangerous objects, fireworks, flares, explosives, flammable materials, illegal substances, glass bottles or containers, laser devices, drones, remotely controlled equipment, professional photography or recording equipment, and large objects that may obstruct views, entrances or exits may not be brought into the venue without prior written authorisation. The Organiser or venue management may also prohibit any other item reasonably considered dangerous, disruptive or unsuitable for the Event.
Bags and personal belongings may be subject to reasonable security checks as a condition of entry. Refusal to comply with a reasonable security check may result in admission being refused without a refund.
9. Photography and recording by attendees
Personal photography of the venue, audience and general Event atmosphere may be permitted before and after the screening, provided that it does not disturb the Event, obstruct another attendee’s view, infringe another person’s privacy, involve commercial use, or breach instructions issued by the Organiser or venue staff. The photography, filming, video recording, audio recording, livestreaming, transmission or reproduction of ZEJTUNE, whether in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited. This includes photographing or recording the cinema screen using a mobile telephone, camera, tablet or any other device, as well as recording short clips for publication on social media. Flash photography and the use of recording equipment are prohibited throughout the screening. Anyone found photographing or recording the film may be required to stop immediately, cease distributing or publishing the material, remove the unauthorised recording where reasonably requested, and leave the venue without a refund. The Organiser reserves the right to take any further appropriate action necessary to protect the film’s copyright and other intellectual-property rights. Limited personal photography and short recordings during the concert may be permitted unless otherwise announced by the Organiser. Flash photography, professional equipment, continuous recording, recording of the entire performance, livestreaming and commercial use are prohibited without prior written authorisation. Further restrictions may be imposed at the request of the performers or for copyright, contractual, safety or operational reasons.
10. Event photography and filming
The Event may be photographed, filmed or otherwise recorded by or on behalf of the Organiser for documentation, press, publicity, archival and promotional purposes, including use on websites, social-media channels and in materials relating to ZEJTUNE, the Event or the Organiser’s activities. General photographs and recordings may include wide shots of the audience, venue and Event atmosphere. Attendees may therefore appear incidentally in crowd or background footage. Where the Organiser intends to conduct an interview, take a posed photograph or prominently feature an identifiable attendee, the attendee’s permission will be requested wherever reasonably practicable. The permission of a parent or legal guardian will be sought before knowingly conducting an interview with, taking a posed photograph of, or prominently featuring a child.
Attendees who do not wish to be prominently photographed or filmed should inform a member of the Event team upon arrival. The Organiser will make reasonable efforts to respect such requests, although it may not be possible to exclude an attendee from incidental crowd or background footage. Notices informing attendees that photography and filming are taking place may also be displayed at the venue.
11. Food, beverages, smoking and vaping
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue from authorised vendors, subject to availability. Products may be sold directly by independent concessionaires or vendors, and the selection, prices, payment methods and operating times may vary.
Questions concerning ingredients, allergens, dietary requirements, preparation methods or possible cross-contamination should be addressed directly to the relevant vendor before purchase or consumption. Attendees with allergies or particular dietary requirements are responsible for informing the vendor and checking the available allergen information. Outside food and beverages may not be brought into the venue unless expressly permitted by the Organiser. Reasonable exceptions may be made for medical requirements, allergies or dietary needs that cannot reasonably be accommodated, food or drink required for infants or young children, and sealed drinking water where permitted by the venue. Glass bottles and glass containers are prohibited. Alcoholic beverages may be sold only to persons legally entitled to purchase and consume them. Proof of age may be requested. The vendors and Organiser reserve the right to refuse alcohol service where a person cannot provide satisfactory proof of age, appears intoxicated or behaves inappropriately. Alcohol must be consumed responsibly and only within permitted Event areas. Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas, where available. They are not permitted in seating areas, enclosed areas, queues or any other location where prohibited by law, venue rules or instructions issued by Event staff.
12. Personal belongings and liability
Attendees remain responsible for their personal belongings at all times. The Organiser and venue will not be responsible for items that are lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Any lost property handed to the Organiser will be retained only for a reasonable period and may subsequently be disposed of or donated.
Attendance is at the ticket holder’s own reasonable risk. To the extent permitted by law, the Organiser will not be responsible for loss or damage arising from a failure to follow reasonable instructions, the attendee’s own conduct, the actions of another attendee or independent third party, loss or theft of personal belongings, or circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
13. Force majeure
The Organiser will not be responsible for any interruption, delay, postponement or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances may include severe or dangerous weather, fire, flood, natural disaster, epidemic, public-health restrictions, national mourning, industrial action, failure of electricity, utilities or technical infrastructure, security threats, civil disturbance, restrictions imposed by public authorities, illness or incapacity affecting key participants, or any other circumstance making the staging or continuation of the Event impossible, unlawful or unsafe.
Any cancellation, postponement or refund arising from such circumstances will be handled in accordance with these terms, the ShowsHappening terms and applicable law.
14. Communications and data protection
Information concerning weather conditions, programme changes, postponement or cancellation may be communicated through ShowsHappening, the email address supplied during booking, the Organiser’s official website or social-media channels, or notices displayed at the venue. Ticket holders are responsible for providing accurate contact information when purchasing their tickets and for checking official Event communications before travelling to the venue. The Organiser will not be responsible where a ticket holder fails to receive an update because incorrect contact details were supplied or the ticket holder did not check the relevant communication channels. Personal information collected by ShowsHappening will be processed in accordance with the ShowsHappening privacy policy. Where personal information is separately collected by the Organiser, it may be processed for the administration and delivery of the Event, communications with ticket holders, customer service, safety and security, legal and financial administration, and marketing communications where the necessary permission or another lawful basis applies. Event photography and filming will be managed in accordance with Clause 10.
15. Applicable law and general provisions
These Event-Specific Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malta. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Maltese courts, without prejudice to any mandatory rights, remedies or alternative dispute-resolution procedures available to consumers under Maltese or European Union law. If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure by the Organiser to enforce any provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and the ShowsHappening terms and conditions, the ShowsHappening terms will prevail to the extent provided in the ShowsHappening conditions. Nothing in these terms affects the ticket holder’s mandatory statutory rights.
