“By continuously and sequentially directing parts of the body away from each other in space, Countertechnique allows the moving dancer to work with an ever-changing dynamic balance. This dynamic balance reduces the pressure on the overall body structure and can be changed at any given moment.”

She also worked as a Movement Director for the global brand Rituals Cosmetics. She has extensive teaching experience and given numerous classes and workshops both in companies and Universities throughout New Zealand and Europe with her ‘Floor N’ Flow’ method and in Countertechnique,’ most recently teaching for Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and regularly for Company Wayne McGregor (UK). She is currently finishing her Masters degree in Arts and Cultural management.

From the 13th-17th April, join international guest artist Louise Bennett (Artistic Director of London Vocational Ballet School, former Artistic Director of London Youth Ballet,) for professional company class. Louise’s ballet class focus on finding natural movement in ballet technique through strong foundations and precise muscular engagement. Dancers are encouraged to explore their technique and presentation in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Louise trained at The Royal Ballet School and danced with The Royal Swedish Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet and English National Ballet. Upon finishing her performing career, Louise worked as a Ballet Master at Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf, and as Artistic Director of National Youth Ballet’s Performance Company.
